Activity | 23.11.2023
Residents from Ciudad Patricia enjoying a visit to Terracota army in Alicante

On Tuesday 21st November, a number of our residents enjoyed a day trip to Alicante to take in the Terracota Army exhibition in the MARQ.

A coach collected the residents from Ciudad Patricia in the late morning and dropped them off for 2 hours of Christmas Shopping in Plaza Mar 2 giving them the opportunity to have lunch. Afterwards the coach picked up the group and drove on the the MARQ for the exhibition itself

Museo Arqueológico Provincial de Alicante (MARQ)

The Museo Arqueológico Provincial de Alicante (MARQ) is an archaeological museum in Alicante, Spain. It houses a collection of objects from the province of Alicante, including Prehistoric, Iberian, Roman, Middle Ages, and Modern and Contemporary Ages.  The current exhibition in MARQ is about the Xi’an Warriors, a collection of ancient Chinese terracotta sculptures that depict the army of the first emperor of China. The exhibition features more than 120 original pieces and is part of the biggest cultural collaboration between China and Spain in 2023. It showcases the history, art and culture of the Qin dynasty and its legacy in China and the world.

Residents of Ciudad Patricia spent a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon taking in this impressive exhibition before taking the coach back to Benidorm.
